Nose: Bourbon starts with oatmeal aromas blending into tobacco, caramel fudge and cedar. Clear feeling of  dates and  very slight alcohol burn

Palate: Totally chewable with dark chocolate, allspice, rye spice, blackcurrant and delicate fresh baked brioche.

Finish: Finish is long, tannic and warm having ginger dryness. The end is with lemon zest, char and toasted oak.

I have reviewed two other bourbons from Traverse City as follows.

1-TC Straight Bourbon
2-TC City Port Barrel Finish

Both of those whiskies show potential to grow into something good, but Traverse City Barrel Proof is at another level. 

Impressive nose is followed by a rich palate with huge complexity. Finish is really intense with the lemon zesty ending and ginger dryness. I think I am in love with the palate that has all those dark flavors mentioned above.

It would be a nice idea for me to check the other batches from this expressions as I believe that even a little alcohol level shift will impact this whiskey like a bomb.
