Nose: Such a prefume. An explosion of fruits. Nuts, marzipan, dark sugar, caramel, cake, biscuits, green tea and malt linger around. Utterly complex.
Palate: Has an oily structure with white chocolate, toffee, nuts, walnut and oak tastes. Baked pears, coffee and cinnamon notes are also revealed after some time.
Finish: Really long one. Floral and fruity notes, especially lavender and apple develop until the end.
Still one of the best Irish whiskey bottles that I was lucky enough to taste thanks to my Server. This Redbreast 12 Cask Strength was one bottle that made me say "I can always have this one as cask strength!! No water needed for me."
Batch 1/12 has won many awards in its time. Though, its complexity has always been an award winner fo me.
With its high proof, easy drinking profile, balance that is out of this world and the taste profile, Redbreast 12 Cask Strength B1/12 should be sipped by every single whisky lover to fill a gap.
Until Midleton Dair Ghaelach, Redbreast continued to be the cask strength stone of the distillery but now there are variant bottles from Midleton, which made the game so much fun!
