I would call this nice looking whisky just great. It has a high malt content and very well balanced peat. Logan De Luxe Scotch Whisky is made by the famous White Horse Distillers and back in the day (not very long ago), the new batches of this whisky was sold around $20-25.
This bottle from 1970s and I tool it from my father's collection to celebrate a special occasion with friends. I also believe it was the most suitable occasion.
Palate is rich and complex for a blend. It is creamy, round, wrapped with layers of flavors. The only downside was finish for me which is simple and short but it also makes you drink more.
Nowadays, blended whiskies have also outstanding examples and maybe even better bottles like Compass Box Rogues’ Banquet, Johnnie Walker Black Label.
