Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate can be referred as the grain to glass whisky of the distillery.
The barley used to produce this whisky is grown on the distillery’s Cadboll Estate and matured for 15 years in first-fill bourbon casks. This US exclusive from the Highland distillery shows an intense oak depth and a rounded profile.
Nose and palate are showing classic Glenmorangie qualities with fruity character, creamy palate with layers of details. However, I was mostly impressed by the finish for this particular whisky. The lingering and rich finish just ends the experience wonderfully.
Glenmorangie whiskies are mostly known for their delicate and complex character which is no different for this bottle. This is a great backyard whisky on a summer day, listening to a great record, in my case it is Bill Evan's Trio.
