Ardbeg Perpetuum Review

Country: Scotland – Islay
Distillery: Ardbeg
Type: Single Malt
Cask: Bourbon & Sherry
ABV: 47.4%

Nose: Vanilla, peat, medicinal aromas are dominant. Raisins and sweet fruits notes take place when aired.
Palate: Citrus, nutmeg, cinnamon and spices are followed by peaty notes.
Finish: Peat, vanilla, menthol and lemon peel leaves a long warm feeling.

Ardbeg Perpetuum was bottled for the 200the anniversary of the Islay distillery. I tasted it at JD Williams Whisky Bar in Amsterdam. If ever in Amsterdam, don't hesitate to visit them.

Ardbeg Perpetuum is walking around a sweeter and rounder profile with malty and sweeter tones which are supported by fruity and spicy palate.

It is not an extraordinary dram but  should be tasted when found. One might want to question a limited edition at 72000 bottles though.
